About the University of Macau

The University of Macau is the largest and leading comprehensive university in Macao, and is funded by the government. It was initially established in 1981 as a private university, namely, the University of East Asia and renamed as University of Macau in 1991. Today, the university has more than 370 faculty members from all over the world and over 6,000 students in five faculties. The Faculty of Business Administration has over 80 academic staff members and 1,700 students.
